Ffynnongrech is a charming base from which to explore this beautiful area with walks straight from the cottage doors providing bounties in abundance for country lovers, bird watchers and serious hikers alike.

The Black Mountains, Llyn Brianne, Carreg Cennen Castle and Brechfa Forest are local beauty spots.  The National Botanic Gardens, Dinefwr Park, Aberglasney Gardens and the beautiful Talley Abbey ruins are on the doorstep.  Coastal pleasures can be found within easy driving distance on Cardigan Bay, Carmarthen Bay and the beautiful sweeping stretches of sand of the Gower with its Heritage Centre, Water Sports and horse riding.

Tourist attractions include the Devil’s Bridge, Dan-yr-Ogof Caves, The Roman Gold Mines, The National Wetland Centre, the National Woollen Mill, too many castles to mention them all individually, and narrow gauge railways!
